Orienteering Days on the Farm
Orienteering Day for Father’s Day Weekend
Do something special for Father’s Day. Join Dad for finding your way with a compass and maps.
On Saturday, June 12th, come join us for a day of challenges! This program will introduce you to orienteering, compass and map reading as we go through our orienteering course. Once you’re done, enjoy a picnic lunch by the pond and feed the animals.
At 10:00, we’ll start out with compass skills and basic map reading at the barn.
Afterwards, we’ll gear up and head out for the orienteering course. You’ll learn how to read a map and use the map and compass to head where you need to go.
By noon, we’ll be back at the barn for lunch by the pond.
Enjoy a great nature walk through the farm after lunch on your own.
No experience is necessary. Learn on your own compass if you have one!
Bring paper, pencils and a protractor. Pack a lunch and water.
Cost $7.00 per person. Ages 9 to adults. The program is limited to 20 participants.
