Small gourds.

We grow small and large gourds for decoration and crafts.

Large gourds drying. The gourds are harvested in the field and dried in the greenhouse for approximately a year.

We keep a supply of gourds for craft projects that include everything from carving to birdhouses made from gourds.

Dried gourds. Once the gourds are dried they are scrubbed clean .

Gourds can be cleaned in water with a hand metal scrubber, much as you would use for cleaning dishes. The process is simple but can be time consuming.

A clean gourd is a mottled tan color.
