A Day in the Life of a Farmer |
This tour is packed full of fun and learning! The farmer teaches the children in one of our barn classrooms about beekeeping and the role of honeybees in agriculture. Participants will see the observation beehive and learn about the different crops we grow on the farm. They will help feed the farm animals, go on a scenic hayride through Cattail Creek, pick their own pumpkin to take home. The tour includes admission to the mini corn maze.

Land & Nature Knowledge |
A Social Studies & Ecology Approach (2nd grade- 6th grade) Take a scenic hayride to the nature trail and observe and learn about the farm crops. Learn hands-on about the natural resources, human resources and conservation. Your guide will walk the trail and field, discussing ecology and how we produce food. We confer with teachers to customize these programs. The children will also feed the farm animals, & pick a pumpkin from the field to take home. The tour includes admission in the mini corn maze.

Pilgrim History |
On this tour your guides are in pilgrim dress, focusing on the daily life of a pilgrim family. You will learn about their homes, games and chores, as well as about Native Americans and their relationships to the pilgrims. The tour includes a hayride, a taste of pasteurized apple cider and a Sharp Farm gift to take home.

- Portable toilet facilities
- Picnic site by the pond
- OPTIONAL: If you have extra time after your scheduled program, take a self guided tour along our beautiful nature trail for no additional charge!!
TEACHER POLICY
Teachers can choose to have free admission OR to pay and receive a gift basket full of some of the fall items we grow on the farm!!
OTHER ADVISORIES
- TRASH: There is space to picnic while on the farm. If picnicking please bring trash bags and take it back with you. We have no means to dispose of trash on the farm. Thank you!
- RAIN: We will call you if we feel the need to reschedule due to weather, but please phone us if you have concerns. We want to make your day special but we do appreciate hearing from you as soon as possible so our tour guides do not prepare needlessly.
- PAYMENT: Bring a completed copy of the Fall Registration Form with you the day of the tour. Payment in full is due upon arrival before the tour starts. Cash or checks payable to Sharp's Farm are acceptable.
- TIME: Our basic tours are designed to educate and entertain in 1 to 1.5 hours.
- Please phone for details on your particular situation. We're delighted to work with you to enhance your experience on the farm.
- HEAD COUNT: Tours will run smoothly if you have an accurate head count when you arrive.
- HAND SANITIZER: Hand washing facilities are limited so it's a good idea to pack these for the children.
